Where will I find your clinic?
Paul has a private clinic room in his home at 16 Campbell Street North Gosford, and can be contacted for appointments by ringing 4323 2692 most days between 9.00am and 7.00pm
How long does a session take?
This is dependant upon the need of the client. Bowen Therapy is carried out under a policy of “less is more” In other words the least number of procedures that we do in a session the better the body will respond. A normal session will last from about 40 minutes to an hour
Will I have to disrobe?
Bowen moves can be completed through light clothing, although it is felt that there is a better response if the moves are completed on bare skin. Usually clients are in their underwear and your therapist will ensure that you are completely and properly draped at all times

Will it hurt?
No. there is no forceful manipulations during a Bowen therapy session. The ‘moves’ are extremely gentle using ‘eye ball’ pressure
How does it work?
The body has a self healing mechanism. For instance, if we cut ourselves, provided we keep it clean, in a about a weeks time it is healed. If we break a bone, the doctor resets the bone, plasters the limb and leaves the body to do the healing. Mr Bowen discovered that if he did certain ‘Bowen’ moves on a person, leaving a short time between moves, it seemed to initiate the bodies own healing mechanism.
How many treatments will I need?
This of course depends upon the severity of your problem and how long you have had it. Most problems seem to heal in two to three treatments, others may take many more visits. Most Clients feel some change to their condition after the first visit.
Are there any conditions that shouldn’t be treated?
Generally speaking the Bowen Technique is safe to use on everyone from the new born to the very elderly. We do have some contra-indications for clients who are pregnant, those with Breast implants or where a client has had surgical interference to their jaw.
