Both the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and the Bowen Association of Australia has requirements that all practitioners attend a minimum of 32 hours of CEUs (Continuing Education Units) every two years. 16 hours of the CEUs must be ‘hands on’ and revise the work covered in Modules 1 to 7.
The remaining hours can be made up of attendances at Advance courses or special topic courses, approved by the BAA and BTAA. Check the BAA website for details

The BAA is required to ensure that all members have current First Aid, Insurance and that the CEU requirements are up to date. BAA advises Health Funds of the members’ status at regular intervals and members not yet complying have their name removed from the health funds listings.

The Practitioner Weekend fulfills several functions;
1) As a straight out weekend of Bowen revision with the hours (16) counting towards the CEU requirement of 32 hours per two year period
2) As ‘make up’ days to allow students who did not complete training to the equivalent of the Module system to rejoin the system
3) Students who have completed their initial six modalities of Bowtech training can attend this workshop as a Module 7 assessment
